The Bags-of-Paper website is the part of our business to promote and distribute plastic free packaging.
We were committed to changing our company's use of packaging by moving away from single-use plastics & helping to make product available for other.
So we have reviewed what we can do and we wanted to share it with our customers.
The end result was that we developed a range of Paper Bags & other paper product which we intend to use and via this website make available for sale.
We are always adding to our range as more products become available to us or after we have tested them, so this website is evolving
Bags of Paper - About Us
Our wider business distributes products in the Diving & Watersports industry, as such we are constantly inspired by our freinds, colleagues & customers around the world.
As a business we committed oursleves to a bold step forward - to rid our range of products of all single use plastic packaging, for good, and supply to products in 100% recyclable paper packaging or with re-usable packaging.
This major project we have begun (by brand) in our distribution business, with a fundamental re-think on how we develop & deliver product packaging for every product.
The Bags of Paper website was created, as we beleived it was difficult for customers to also begin this journey, with limitations as to what paper packaging could be easily accessed, in reasonable volumes, and/or propt delivery service.
Our thoughts were stated in a recent media interview with our Managing Director:
"Plastic pollution poses a very real threat to the environment and particularly the oceans. Clearly it's an unsustainable situation we have taken the bold pro-active decision to make a stand. Working with key suppliers, we challenged ourselves why packaging was there, what purpose it had and what options could be available to deliver a more sustainable product.
By removing the plastic traditionally used to package our products, we will be reducing not only our own but our customers' impact on the environment.
This is simply about doing the right thing.
We are not saying it is perfect, but believe we have made a very big step in the right direction."

The problem of plastic pollution and its long-term impact on the environment has gained considerable media attention in recent months. Divers, in particular, are acutely aware of the issue and are keen to do their bit. Research shows that between 8 and 12 million tonnes of plastic* ends up in our oceans every year - once there, it poses a serious threat to countless marine animals, birds and other organisms.
As time passes, this same plastic breaks down into tiny particles that absorb toxins released into the water through human activity. These so-called 'microplastics' contain high levels of toxins which can enter the food chain, resulting in a toxic timebomb.
The challenge is always trying to do what you can do. We are making our steps to achieve this & we invite you to try also.
